About PRMM Cell, CAU, Imphal
The Public Relations & Media Management (PRMM) Cell, CAU, Imphal was established by the University vide Order No. CAU/Reg/1459/Misc/2011 (pt.)/, dated the 5th November, 2020 to look after the media, publicity and information of the University and subsequently approved by the 53rd meeting of Board of Management (BOM) held on 16/12/2020 vide Agenda No.2. The cell aims to bring this university to the top through brand building and promotion. The cell looks after all communications and publicity – internal and external and also serve as the official spokesperson of the university. The role of PRMM cell is to manage relations with external stakeholders through several media relation activities. It accomplishes this through engagement with the print media, electronic media, website and other social media platform. The cell also manages internal communication by highlighting events, happenings, and achievements of the administration faculty students scientists and others. PRMM cell will highlight all the important happenings as well as events in the university by sharing with the external world.

Objectives of PRMM Cell
1. Public relation-The cell manages the media relations of the university and keep the media updated the happenings at the university . The primary involves highlighting various events of the College and ensuring that each and every events of the university and its constituent colleges / offices gets each due media coverage.
2. Website- The cell provides content for periodically updating the university’s website. These include regular updates on achievements of the university and its constituent colleges/offices in terms of academic, research and extension activities.
3. Social Media- The cell manages all social media handles of Central Agricultural University, Imphal- facebook, twitter, youtube, lnstagram etc.
4. Media interaction Programmes- The cell also organizes various media interaction programme focus on students achievements research developments and farmers success stories and other important events from time to time.
